Adelaide's captain, Holmes will join BK Hachen

The 23-year-old player can finally reach her dream and play in the European Champions League.

Adelaide United

’s captain,

Dylan Holmes

is set to switch sides and join the Swedish champions

BK Hachen

. Adelaide United are only three matches away from the final of the W-League but both clubs have already agreed to sell the captain.

Holmes will play his final match for Adelaide on Saturday night against

Sydney FC

and then she will immediately leave Australia to pursue her European dream. Holmes has been playing for the Australian side since 2018-19 and his absence will damage the club greatly. However, she claims that it is a move that she can not resist.

"Probably one of the hardest decisions I've made in my career,"

Holmes said.

"But the opportunity to play in Sweden and really test myself in a very strong European league is something I couldn't turn down."

Holmes will be able to play in the Champions League next season and it is possible that he face her fellow Australians such as Ellie Carpenter who plays for Lyin, Chelsea’s Sam Kerr and Arsenals Caitlin Foord.
