Hopkins content with the draw against Canberra

Melbourne Victory manager Jeff Hopkins was more than happy to get at least one point against Canberra United in W-League on Sunday.

Angela Beard

's effort gave it an early lead at Epping Stadium. But

Nikki

Flannery

scored the equalizer on the stroke of half-time and neither team could find a winner as

Victory

extended its unbeaten run to four games.

Hopkins

felt his team could have produced a better display, but was satisfied with a point.

"I'm reasonably happy with a point to be honest,"

he said

.

"We could've nicked it there at the end, I think we had a really strong last 15 minutes where we had a real good go, created some good chances, but just couldn't finish.

"I thought in general a little bit disappointed in our performance. We were all expecting better. The first-half performance, although we came in at 1-1, it was just a little bit disappointing because I know we can be a lot better."

Hopkins added

: "Most probably over the 90 minutes (a draw was fair), I think we edged it for sure in terms of possession, but they were happy to concede a little bit of territory to us so we would most probably dominate possession and in terms of chances as well.
