Brisbane Roar crushes Glory as Chance scores a spectacular strike

The Roar won their Sunday W-League match against Perth Glory with a 4-0 result.

Brisbane Roar

started the match with dominance and

Olivia Chance

scored the opener in the 22nd minute with a spectacular long-range strike.

Emily Gielnik

doubled the lead for the Roar in the 27th minute with another stunning shot.

Perth Glory

tried to mount a comeback in the second half but they were unable to score as Brisbane’s goalkeeper

Morgan Aquino

displayed a great performance. Gielnik scored the third goal of the game in the 50th minute and

Larissa Crummer

who came in as a substitute iced the cake for Brisbane Roar with a close-range finish in the 87th minute. In an interview after the match,

Alex Epakis

praised Brisbane Roar for their high-quality performance.

"Full credit to Brisbane,"

he said.

"They were a class above today and I think you could see what experienced players can bring to a squad.

"But in terms of my girls, I'm so proud.

"Up until the 93rd minute they were still going for it.

"It's been a quick turnaround; two games in four days after only playing three in three months has been a bit of a shock to the system, but we're building some resilience.

"I'm excited to see what we can do and what we can learn from this and hopefully we can continue to grow as a squad."
