Krunic: I was a Red Star fan as a child

Milan midfielder has spoken about the Serbian club ahead of their Europa League clash with the Rossoneri.

in the Europa League on Thursday. The Italian side suffered an unexpected defeat against

Spezia

on Saturday which saw them slip to second place on the Serie A table.

’s side hope to return to their best form as they see Inter ahead of them in the title race. Ahead of his team's Thursday match at Belgrade, Rade Krunic has spoken about the Red Star and his respect for the Serbian club.

“They are the strongest in Serbia,”

Krunic told a press conference.“

They are a good team.

“They also have a great past with Milan.

“We are confident and aware. We have to redeem ourselves after the defeat to Spezia. We hope to win.”

The 27-year-old has made five appearances for Milan in their current Europa League campaign.

“I’m ready, I can’t wait to play.”

The midfielder revealed the Rossoneri have talked about the setback against Spezia and want to ‘make up for it immediately’.

“We are fine, we don’t need confusion after a defeat,”

Krunic added.

“The problem is how we lost, it wasn’t the real Milan.

“We talked to each other and we have a chance to make up for it immediately. We must look ahead.”

He added:

“As a child, I supported Red Star,

“It will be nice to play at the Marakana, I’m very excited and happy.

“But I’m a great professional, playing for Milan has always been a dream of mine.”
