Proud to be Messi's teammate - Fabregas
The Spanish star is proud to be a teammate with Messi.
Former Spain star, Cesc Fabregas praised Lionel Messi and claimed that he was grateful to be his teammate.
Messi is experiencing his 17th season at
Barcaand has won many honors at club and individual level. He has won 4 Champions League titles and 6 Ballon d'or and is one of the most decorated players in the history of football. Fabregas was Messi's teammate between 2011 and 2014 and now praises the Argentine star.
"From all the players that I played with? I don't really need to pick many, I will pick Lionel Messi and you have the perfect footballer right there. I don't have to go that far,"
Fabregas said.
"I would have the speed of Thierry Henry, the quality and intelligence of Messi, the heart of Carles Puyol or John Terry. The last pass, I don't think I will change that for anyone, I would stick to mine to be honest!
"That's the kind of player I look up to. I like to look at the very, very best and I was thankful always that God gave me the opportunity to play with the very, very best for many years."
