Inter beat Real Betis in the race for Rui Silva

Inter are ahead of Real Betis in the race to sign Granada goalkeeper Rui Silva.

Silva

has reportedly reached a pre-contract agreement with

La Liga

, which includes a €2 million release clause; this continues until inter made a ‘very good’ offer to Silva and the scenario changed.

Likely,

Real Betis

are now looking for another goalkeeper for Silva, a back-up for current Nerazzurri number one and club captain

Samir Handanovic

.

Silva, who has been with Napoli since 2017, will be out of contract at the end of the season so that a pre-contract deal can be reached with him and he can join for free in the summer.

The Portuguese goalkeeper, who turned 27 on Sunday, has played in 29 of 29 matches so far and has saved 11 clean sheets in these matches.

Silva is one of several goalkeepers who have been in contact with inter recently and have been in contact with other goalkeepers, including

Juan Moussa

from

Udinese

.
