Chong joins Club Brugge following Werder loan-cancellation

The Red Devils loanee continues his development with the Belgian club after spending a while in Bundesliga.

Manchester United

youngster,

Tahith Chong

, joined

Club Brugge

after

Werder Bremen

decided to cancel his loan contract.

The 21-year-old, who joined Werder Bremen in summer transfer season, failed to secure a regular spot on the club’s squad despite his 13 Bundesliga appearances.

During his time with Werder Bremen, Chong was a starter on four different occasions, but that didn’t prevent the Red Devils and the Bundesliga side from canceling his contract and loaning him to Club Brugge.

Chong said goodbye to Werder after his arrival at the Belgian cub, saying:

"It's been a pleasure to represent this club (Bremen) for the last few months. Even though it wasn't long, I learnt a lot and I leave the club with some great memories and friendships. Good luck for the rest of the season."

Chong’s contract with Man-Utd extends till 2022 and though he had only 16 appearances with the senior squad, the club hopes their academy graduate would make a greater impact with Club Brugge than he did at Werder.

For their upcoming match Club Brugge are expected to face

Standard Liege

but Chon is not expected to make his first debut just yet.
