Rangers eyeing Coventry’s Gustavo Hamer

The Light Blues are interested in signing the Brazilian midfielder.

The Scottish Premiership leaders have

Coventry

’s young midfielder

Gustavo Hamer

on their radar according to the PA news agency. The Sky Blues are not interested in selling the player at least in the current transfer window but they must face a serious battle if they want to keep him long-term. The Brazilian moved to Netherland as a youngster and

Feyenoord

was his first club although he managed to appear in only two senior matches for the Dutch club. After leaving Feyenoord, Hamer joined PEC Zwolle and spent two years there before joining Coventry with a £1.2m deal last year.

Rangers

are interested in adding young talents to their squad as they have shown this before by signing Joe Aribo, George Edmundson, Leon Balogun, and Jon McLaughlin from the lower leagues in England. Gerrard’s team is also interested in Aberdeen forward

Scott Wright

and are able to sign the 23-year-old on a pre-contract this month.
