Everton declare strategic partnership with Irish team Sligo Rovers

Everton have confirmed a strategic partnership with League of Ireland Premier Division team, Sligo Rovers which will support an exchange of knowledge in both coaching and business processes.

Both teams have a history together,

Everton

have signed captain Seamus Coleman in 2009 from

Rovers

for £60,000, while

Everton

star Dixie Dean made the opposite move in 1939.

The new partnership comes from the team’s successful cooperation with Chile’s

Everton

de Vina del Mar and the growth of the

Everton

International Academy Affiliate Programme in the US and Australia.

“This partnership will benefit both clubs and, in particular, can provide support to Sligo from the social and economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic,”

Coleman announced.
