Pereira looking for a new club after disastrous period at Lazio

Manchester United's midfielder is keen to leave Lazio during the winter transfer window.

Andreas Pereira

who is now 25, joined

Manchester United

back in 2012 from PSV. He was considered one of the players with the most potential as a creative midfielder and the future was bright for him. He was one of the best among the Manchester United academy players and was scoring goals and provided assists for his teammates.

His good performances with the reserves convinced Louis Van Gaal to give him some chances and he scored a wonderful free-kick in his first matches for the Red Devils. However, things did not go very well for the Brazilian as after playing 75 times for Manchester United, he had only 9 contributions in United’s goals.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer allowed him to join

Lazio

during the summer transfer window but he did not get many chances in Italy as well as he only started twice for Lazio. In the 2-1 victory over Fiorentina, Pereira was ready to enter the game at the 89th minute but Simone Inzaghi changed his mind. Pereira left the bench and went straight to the dressing room before the final whistle as a sign of frustration.

The midfielder is reportedly keen to find another club during the winter transfer window to regain his form and have the chance to play as a regular starter.
