Roma plan to make a move on Everton’s Bernard

, after failing to sign him during the summer. The Brazilian’s agent has also confirmed that the Serie A club have renewed their interest in the player ahead of January transfer season.

Though Roma were hoping to bring

back into their squad by

“continuing their pressure”

on

, their attempts seem to have hit a wall. And after a while of contemplation they decided to shift their attention to other players with Everton midfielder, Bernard, being on top of their

“preferred”

options.

It is reported that the Brazilian’s name has already been mentioned in Roma’s

“daily conference calls”

and though Everton is yet to reveal their plans for the player, they may be open to negotiations over Bernard’s future.  

Roma hope to sign Bernard permanently but they won’t mind having him on a loan in case Everton refuse to sell the left-winger.
