Getafe keen on taking Villarreal’s Kubo on loan

The Japan international is attracting many attentions his way as Getafe are eager to sign a loan deal with Villareal winger.

Getafe

are keen on signing a loan contract with

Takefusa Kubo

as well as Carles Alena. However, recruiting both players is beyond their budget at the moment. Getafe’s main target is Kubo, who joined

Villarreal

on loan from

Real Madrid

, and a new contract would have further requirements since Villarreal tried to secure the 19-year-old’s loan by paying €3m last summer. If his loan were to be cut short, half of that money has to be paid back to Villarreal which creates an obstacle for Getafe.

The discussion surrounding Kubo’s deal with Getafe has yet to be analyzed by Real Madrid as they are keen on retaining as much as they can following the expected €91m to have been spent this coming year. The Japanese starlet has featured 687 minutes for Villarreal, mostly in the

Europa League

.

Villarreal head coach

Unai Emery

harshly criticized Kubo, saying: “

we are not here to give ten games to a player if he doesn’t perform. He’s given one and then he must earn more. That’s valid for the youth players and for everyone.”
