Romagnoli reveals positive changes in Milan

Alessio Romagnoli declared this year is quite different for Milan in comparison with last year, as they are the Serie A leaders after a stunning 3-2 win over Lazio.

The

Rossoneri

continued their unbeaten run in the league this season and they finished the year in first place of the Serie A table.

“We had suffered more in previous Christmases, so we intend to enjoy this one, as a great deal has changed in a year,”

smiled Romagnoli on Sky Sport Italia

.

“The signings in January gave us a big hand, as we slowly gained more and more confidence game after game.

“The coach also did very well from the start to trust the group. We had been a bit separated in the locker room, let’s say, but he managed to bring us all together and the results came as a consequence.

“We have to play every game to the maximum. We are a young team with a lot of good ideas, the important thing is to keep going like this.”

Milan

’s fans were supportive as they accompanied the squad by setting off flares and waving flags to San Siro from the training ground before the clash with

Lazio

.

The fans are our strength, even if they can’t enter the stadium,

” added the captain.

“We give them a massive thanks and hope to have them in the stands as soon as possible.”

Romagnoli

didn’t seem concerned about his contract.

“I hope to play another 200 games with Milan. You’d have to ask the directors about the contract, but the current one runs to June 2022, so there’s no rush.”
