Lineker praised Liverpool's young goalie

Match of the Day presenter praised the young goalkeeper after an impressive performance against Wolves.

Former England star Gary Lineker has praised Caoimhin Kelleher for the Irishman's first Premier League game for

Liverpool

.

After the injury of Alison Becker, Kelleher played in the match against Ajax. In the 1-0 victory of Liverpool in the Champions League, he was able to keep his goal closed. This performance gave the club confidence in him, and he played in the recent Premier League match against Wolverhampton to record another clean sheet during the 4-0 victory.

But the interesting thing about him was the pronunciation of his name, which many had trouble with. While it was expected that his first name would be difficult to pronounce, his surname was also a nuisance to many. Therefore, his name was incorrectly registered on the back of his shirt. This has already happened to him in the Irish Under-21 national team camp. Now Lineker made a joke and praised the Irish goalkeeper.

Lineker tweeted:

"Lots of positives again for @LFC including an excellent display from their young keeper. Perhaps as a reward they could spell Kelleher correctly."
