Carlos Tevez devastated by his father's health problems

As of late his dad, Raimundo Tevez, has experienced significant medical conditions. 

He went through 45 days in intensive therapy in the wake of testing positive for Covid. He was released from a medical clinic in Buenos Aires toward the beginning of September yet returned weeks after the fact after his well-being declined once more. 

Tevez's biological father was killed before he was born, and his brother Raimundo took care of his son Carlos as his own. Raimundo has diabetes and that has intensified Covid-19 symptoms.

"It's very tough," Tevez told ESPN Argentina. "I have different emotions. At times I am well and other times I go and cry during the interval. I can't explain it.

"These are difficult times. I go and visit my father and then I have to be strong to play football."

Boca fans can't go to games right now however a pennant was put in the stands of La Bombonera stadium in front of their latest game to support Tevez and his family, a 1-0 loss against Talleres Cordoba. 

"That fills my soul," Tevez said. "To enter the pitch, to see the flag, the banner.

"The important thing is that I am strong and that is thanks to the people at Boca and to my family who help me not to fall apart and to continue fighting. I'm standing, just as my family is, and we must continue."

Tevez was condemning the choice for Argentine football to return in the midst of the Covid pandemic when the choice was made over the mid-year.

“There is pressure from all sides and we understand why, it is a business, but when you see people dying next door it is very difficult to return,” he said in August.

“The hospitals are collapsing and we cannot escape this reality.”
