Furious Messi said: “You’ve already screwed us twice”

In the eligibility stage for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Argentina lost two domestic points to Paraguay on Thursday evening, pressurizing a seemingly disappointed Lionel Messi to hit at the referee. “You’ve already screwed us twice,” he said according to Marca.

The most laborious competition is the game in the South America to qualify for the World Cup. You must have an outstanding soccer background, be the top star in the continent, do travel long distances, and give feverish support.  Fortunately, European cynicism in the international break is not considered here.

The 1-1 draw result for Argentina is so frustrating. For their qualification group, La Albiceleste stay at top of the table; however, they could be leapfrogged by Brazil when they host Venezuela on Friday evening. Raphael Claus was the Brazilian referee for Argentina’s clash with Paraguay.

Angel Romero gained the beginning score for the visitors before Nicolas Gonzales brought Argentina level. The game saw many challenges on both sides, a goal was disallowed by VAR, and Messi got furious.

“You already screwed us twice,” he shouted, showing two fingers. “You screwed us twice,” he reiterated. Claus saw the VAR monitor to review a fold conducted by Gonzalez on Romero. “It’s incredible, shameful,” the forward was shown to be repeated. Next, La Albiceleste will travel to Peru on Tuesday night.
