Milan, on the other hand, was unlucky and was eliminated in the Death Group of the competition where Liverpool and Atlético Madrid advanced to the next level. Atalanta dramatically lost the race to Villarreal and went on to Europa League. Juventus is the most successful Serie A club in current European competitions. They were the leader of a group that included Champions League title defender Chelsea. Lazio and Roma are struggling to reach the higher ranks. None of the Serie A clubs are capable of having big transfers during the winter transfer window of 2022.

Axel Tuanzebe 

Napoli has signed Axel Tuanzebe on a loan from Manchester United on the second day of Serie A January Transfer Window of 2022. The Italian side will pay an initial fee of around €1 million for the English defender but they can make the deal permanent. Tuanzebe is on his third season on loan at Aston Villa but he is willing to join Napoli. The 24 years old was a Manchester United academy player and had 37 appearances for the Devils.

He spent the 2017-18 and 2018-19 on loan at Aston Villa and made 30 caps in EFL Championship. He is currently on his third loan spell at Aston Villa. Since

started his work as Aston Villa manager Tuanzebe doesn't seem to fit into his squad and it is the best time to move for him.

Tuanzebe has played for the England youth teams but he hasn't yet made his debut for the senior national team. He has an alternative to play for the Democratic Republic of the Congo at the international level.

Jeremie Boga

Sassuolo winger

signed a five year deal with Atalanta. The Dea have agreed to pay €22 million plus add-ons for the 25 years old who has played in all the attacking roles for Sassuolo. In his 100 appearances for Neroverdi, Boga has scored 18 goals and delivered 10 assists. He joined Chelsea's academy as a talent and reached the senior squad, but before making his debut Chelsea loaned him out to 2 different teams in different countries.

First, he joined Rennes and he made 27 caps in Ligue 1, scoring 2 goals. The second team was Granada and he had almost the same stats in La Liga too. In 2017-18, Antonio Conte put him in the starting line-up but he was substituted due to

's red card in the early minutes of the first match of the season. It was his only appearance for the London club and he left for Birmingham City on a season loan and then after 31 games in Championship, Boga was transferred to Sassuolo for a €10 million permanent deal.

’s first experience in Serie A. According to Fabrizio Romano, Venezia will pay Bayern Munich €4.5 million, plus potential add-ons.

The 22 year old started his senior career at Borussia Monchengladbach in 2017 and appeared in 39 games. In 2019, he signed a contract with the Bundesliga side, Bayern Munich for a transfer fee of nearly 10 million euros until 2024. He didn’t get much playtime, and in three seasons he only had 13 games.

In October 2020, he was close to a move to the Premier League and was meant to join Leeds United. But it was said that he failed the medical tests; therefore Cuisance remained at Bayern. Four days later Marseille signed him on a loan deal with an option to buy. The French midfielder had a great season at Marseille, playing in 30 games and scoring two goals in all the competitions.

Ajax goalkeeper,

has been spotted in Milan and will undergo his medical for Inter Milan today. He is one of the best keepers in Europe and has been in Ajax's first team since 2016. He is expected to sign a five year contract with Inter Milan for €3m net per season in July for the 2022-23 season.

Onana had offers from Arsenal and Barcelona. Especially, in the summer transfer window of 2021, he was considering a move to Arsenal before they got

Lorenzo Insigne

He will join Toronto FC on a four year deal, after the expiration of his deal with Napoli in July 2022. Toronto, finished second-bottom of the Major League Soccer (MLS) Eastern Conference last term, with six wins from 34 matches.

Alvaro Morata Update

Juventus head coach,

stated that Morata will stay at Juventus, at least in the

. Morata was linked to Barcelona and it was reported that Xavi phoned Morata.

called Morata and told him he wants him on a six month loan deal to keep him even longer, and potentially do a permanent deal in the summer.

The Spain international striker has been with Juventus for 18 months on loan from Atletico Madrid, making 71 appearances scoring 28 times in all competitions. Barca has reached an agreement with the striker and his agent, but today Allegri stated at the news conference that he will stay.

"He is a player who scored 21 goals last year, this year already seven. The problem with Alvaro is that he is seen as always lacking in something”, Allegri stated. "I talked to him and told him that he doesn't move from here because to find someone at his height and ability is very difficult. Alvaro remains with great enthusiasm, end of discussion.”

Aaron Ramsey 

The former Arsenal midfielder wants to go back to England and end his nightmare with Juventus. Today the Serie A club and Allegri have also confirmed that they are ready to let

depart. The Wales international’s destination isn’t clear yet, but some English clubs have shown interest, including Newcastle. 

Ramsey joined Juventus in 2019 on a four year contract and he would receive £400,000 a week, making him one of the highest-earning British players ever based on basic salary. This is his third season with Juventus and he has made 70 appearances, scoring six goals. This is nothing compared to his performance at Arsenal.

In his last season for the Gunners, he scored six goals in his 40 appearances. But he still is shining for Wales national team. He doesn’t have any long term roles in Allegri's plans for Juventus. Burnley had tried to sign Ramsey but it hadn't worked out.

Krzysztof Piatek 

returns to Serie A after two and a half seasons in Bundesliga in the Serie A January transfer window of 2022. Fiorentina signs the Polish international on a loan move for the rest of the season with a €15 million buy option attached.

The 26 year old forward joined Hertha Berlin after a successful season at AC Milan with 41 appearances and 16 goals. He was transferred to the Bundesliga side for a fee of €27 million. In 56 games for Hertha, he scored 13 times in all competitions and has been struggling in the current season.

Piatek commented on his arrival in Florence, saying in a post on Instagram: “Very happy to be back in Italy, where I have always felt good! I thank the Viola for the trust, now I want to show my values. I hope to celebrate many times here.” With all the rumors about

wanting to leave Fiorentina, Piatek might become his replacement in the following season.

Sergio Oliveira

Roma has opened talks with FC Porto to sign the 29 year old midfielder.

has been searching for midfielders since last summer, and it seems that besides Maitland-Niles, he is keen to sign

as well. He was on their transfer list in the summer. It should be mentioned that Sergio Oliveira has the same agent as Jose Mourinho. 

Roma’s first offer for the Portuguese central midfielder is a €1.5M initial fee plus a €15 million option to buy, and they might add €3 million add-ons. Oliveira has a contrast with Porto until 2025. In the summer transfer window of 2021, he had a lot of offers from clubs like Fiorentina, Tottenham, and also AS Roma.

The deal with Fiorentina was more likely than with the other clubs but the move collapsed. Before Oliviera, Roma was interested in

and Florian Grillitsch. But both Marseille and Hoffenheim’s asking prices are beyond what Roma could afford in the January transfer window.
