Angel was never able to fully use his goalscoring abilities with Colombia as he had done at club level due to a variety of factors, and he was never allowed to play in a World Cup. He was a quick and skillful player who was noted for his creativity, technique, strength, and ability to score beautiful goals with both feet.

His honors include Categoría Primera A (1) and Copa Interamericana (1) with Atlético Nacional,Coppa Italia (1), European Cup Winners' Cup (1), European Super Cup (1) and UEFA Cup (2) with Parma, and Rio-São Paulo Tournament (1) and Brazilian Champions Cup (1) with Palmeiras. Radamel Falcao

began his career at River Plate, and his game improved significantly during his time with Porto and Atletico Madrid. Not only did "El Tigre" (The Tiger) score goals, but he did it in key and tight games like the Europa League final.

Falcao has played a key role in Colombia's recent revival. Jose Pekerman crafted a Colombia that gave Falcao Garcia enough balls to score consistently in the qualifications and return Colombia to the World Cup for the first time in 16 years.

Colombia was stunned earlier this year when their star player suffered an injury while playing for Monaco. Falcao was unable to compete in Brazil 2014 due to a lack of recovery time, but that does not negate his contributions to the Cafeteros during the 2014 cycle. The Tiger is still young enough to continue adding to his resume with Colombia, and he will most likely retire as the Cafetero's all-time leading scorer.
