How will Germany line up at UEFA Euro 2020?

Since UEFA Euro 2020 is upon us, football fans are trying to predict which players would set their foot on the green pitch as the starting eleven for the Germany Euro 2020 squad, Sportmob invites you to read about the probable lineup of Germany.

In 1908, the German national football team played their first match. The German Football Association, which was created in 1900, governs the team. Due to Allied occupation and division, FIFA recognized three separate German national teams between 1949 and 1990: the DFB's team for the Federal Republic of Germany (named West Germany from 1949 to 1990), the Saarland team for the Saar Protectorate (1950–1956), and the East German team for the German Democratic Republic (1952–1990).

With four World Cups (1954, 1974, 1990, 2014), three European Championships (1972, 1980, 1996), and one Confederations Cup (2017), Germany is one of the most successful national teams in international play. They've also finished second in the European Championships three times, fourth in the World Cup four times, and third in the World Cup four times. In 1976, East Germany became the first country to win Olympic gold.

Germany

earned the best Elo rating of any national football team in history at the conclusion of the 2014 World Cup, with a total of 2,205 points.

How will Germany line up at UEFA Euro 2020?

Joachim Low has picked an experienced group for Euro 2020, recalling World Cup champions Thomas Muller and Mats Hummels, both of whom had not played for Germany in almost two years before this summer.

For this summer's competition, Germany has been assigned to Group F, which includes Hungary, defending European winners

Portugal

, and reigning World Champions France.

Germany has used a 4-2-3-1 configuration in five of its eight games so far this season, including friendlies against Turkey and the Czech Republic as well as their six Nations League matches.

The players on the Germany Euro 2020 list that we have supplied for you are those that the Sportmob team believes have the best chance of making the starting eleven, but at the end of the day, the manager is the only one who knows who will receive some decent playing time. So far, the following players have been selected for the tournament team:

  • Goalkeepers:

Bernd Leno, Manuel Neuer, Kevin Trapp

  • Defenders:

Matthias Ginter, Robin Gosens, Christian Gunter, Marcel Halstenberg, Mats Hummels, Lukas Klostermann, Robin Koch, Antonio Rudiger, Niklas Sule

  • Midfielders:

Emre Can, Leon Goretzka, Ilkay Gundogan, Kai Havertz, Jonas Hofmann, Joshua Kimmich, Toni Kroos, Florian Neuhaus

  • Forwards:

Serge Gnabry, Thomas Muller, Jamal Musiala, Timo Werner, Leroy Sane, Kevin Volland

As a result, we'll begin with the most important position on the field, the goalie, then go to the center of the field, and ultimately finish with attacking positions such as wingers and strikers. Let's take a look at who made our list of

Germany Euro 2020

lineup.

Let’s get to the players of the Germany Euro 2020 squad in instant.

GK:Manuel Neuer

Starting with the most important role of football, let us discuss who is the best choice to fill in the goalkeeper position in the

Germany squad for Euro 2021

.

Manuel Peter Neuer, a goalkeeper for Bundesliga club

Bayern Munich

and the German national team, was born on March 27, 1986.

Because of his playing style and speed when rushing off his line to anticipate opponents and exiting the goalie box, Neuer has been dubbed a "sweeper-keeper."

Neuer was included in Germany's final 23-man Euro 2016 squad on May 31, 2016. During Germany's three group games against Ukraine, Poland, and Northern Ireland, Neuer did not allow a single goal. He didn't give up a goal in the round of 16 against Slovakia, either. On July 2, 2016, during the quarter-finals, he finally conceded a goal against Italy, courtesy of a Leonardo Bonucci penalty kick. Neuer set a new record by going 557 minutes without surrendering a goal in a major competition.

Since the start of last season, Neuer has preserved 24 clean sheets in the Bundesliga alone, and he has bailed out his team multiple times as Bayern won every championship available to them. He'll be an important figure for Low this summer as one of the few players in the group with major tournament-winning experience at the international level.

CB:Antonio Rudiger

Antonio Rudiger was born on March 3, 1993, and currently plays as a center-back for

Chelsea

in the Premier League.

On May 13, 2014, he made his senior national team debut in a 0–0 draw against Poland. Despite being named in his country's 23-man team for UEFA Euro 2016, Rüdiger was forced to withdraw from the tournament due to injury, damaging the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during a training session in June 7.

Rüdiger was a member of Germany's national team that won the FIFA Confederations Cup in Russia in 2017.

In a 5–1 home triumph against Azerbaijan in World Cup qualifying on October 8, 2017, he scored his first international goal.

On June 4, 2018, Rüdiger was named to Germany's final 23-man roster for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. He was called up for Germany's 2–1 triumph against Sweden in the second group stage match after first-choice center-back Mats Hummels was injured.

Rüdiger, who is normally a center-back, is a versatile defender who can also play as a full-back on either flank that’s why we reserved a spot for him in

Germany Euro 2020

lineup.

CB:Mats Hummels

Mats Julian Hummels was born on December 16, 1988, and now plays as a center back for Bundesliga club

Borussia Dortmund

.

Hummels has been a full international for Germany since 2010, accumulating 70 caps and playing in the UEFA Euro 2012, 2014 FIFA World Cup, UEFA Euro 2016, and 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Hummels was in the starting lineup for Germany's 1–0 triumph over Portugal in their first UEFA Euro 2012 match. Following that, he received a lot of accolades for his performance.

Hummels, along with teammates Philipp Lahm, Sami Khedira, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Holger Badstuber, and Manuel Neuer, played all 450 minutes of Germany's Euro campaign.

Hummels is a huge, consistent, and physically strong defender who is recognized for his forceful tackling and strength in the air, as well as his ability to read the game and intercept loose balls. He is regarded as one of the best defenders in the world.

These traits make him a perfect fit for

Germany Euro 2020

lineup.

LB:Robin Gosens

Robin Everardus Gosens (born 5 July 1994) currently plays as a left midfielder or left-back for Serie A side

Atalanta

.

Gosens gained his first call-up to the Germany national football team on August 25, 2020. On September 3, he made his UEFA Nations League debut, starting against Spain in the 2020–21 season.

He was named to the UEFA Euro 2020 team on May 19, 2021.

RB:Lukas Klostermann

Lukas Manuel Klostermann (born 3 June 1996) is a right-back for

RB Leipzig

in Germany.

During his time in the Bundesliga, the player with the number 16 shirt has appeared in 107 games. He has won 58 of them. As a member of RB Leipzig, he has played every match of his career in the Bundesliga. He has a total of ten balls in the net here.

Klostermann was called up to the senior national squad for the first time in March 2019 for a friendly against Serbia and a UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying match against the Netherlands. On March 20, 2019, he made his Germany debut, playing the entire game in a 1–1 draw against Serbia. Manager Joachim Löw lauded his first performance after the game. On May 19, 2021, he was named to the UEFA Euro 2020 team.

Lukas Klostermann has appeared in 12 international matches for Germany so far .He will be a significant member of the German' Euro 2020 squad And this amazing athlete’s performance pushed him into our

Germany Euro 2020 Squad

.

DM:Joshua Kimmich

Joshua Walter Kimmich (born February 8, 1995) currently plays for Bundesliga club Bayern Munich as a defensive midfielder or right back. He is frequently referred to and regarded as the heir to former Bayern Munich captain Philipp Lahm.

Kimmich left RB Leipzig in 2015 and signed a contract with Bayern Munich that runs through 2020. After completing the continental treble with Bayern Munich in the 2019–20 season, Kimmich was named to the UEFA Team of the Year, the FIFA FIFPro Men's World11, and the UEFA Champions League Defender of the Season. Kimmich was chosen in Germany's preliminary 27-man roster for UEFA Euro 2016 on May 17, 2016.

He was picked to the final 23-man team on May 31, 2016, and given the number 21 shirt. Kimmich was named to replace Benedikt Höwedes at right-back for Germany's final Group C match against Northern Ireland on June 21, 2016. Kimmich was nominated to UEFA's Team of the Tournament after remaining Germany's first-choice right-back as they advanced to the semi-finals. Kimmich made his UEFA Nations League debut against France on September 6, 2018, playing as a defensive midfielder for the first game in 18 months.

Kimmich is a solid striker of the ball and is comfortable in control. He is also recognized for his precise passing and crossing. Bastian Schweinsteiger has been credited as Kimmich's inspiration. we offered him a spot in the Germany squad for Euro 2021.

CM:Toni Kroos

There is no need to introduce Toni Kroos as he is considered one of the best footballers in the world. It was obvious that he would be in our Germany Euro 2020 lineup as he is one of the best players on the team.

Toni Kroos, a German professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for

Real Madrid

, was born on January 4, 1990.

Kroos mostly plays as a center midfielder, though he has also been used as a deep-lying playmaker. Kroos is widely considered as one of the finest midfielders in the world, with his vision, passing, creativity, crossing, and set-piece skill.

Toni was called up to the senior Germany team for the first time in January 2010, for a training session in Sindelfingen, and was included in the squad for the next match, a friendly against Argentina on March 3, 2010, in which he made his national team debut. Kroos established himself as a regular starter in Germany's UEFA Euro 2012 qualification campaign, appearing in eight of 10 games.

He started all three of Germany's Group B matches in the tournament finals as a replacement. Löw chose the naturally aggressive Kroos to man-mark Italy's playmaker Andrea Pirlo in the semi-final encounter against Italy. The judgment was widely panned, and Germany went on to lose the match 2–1.

The player made his 100th appearance for Germany in a 3–3 draw against Switzerland in the 2020–21 UEFA Nations League A on October 13, 2020.

Kroos, a tall and athletic right-footed midfielder, is known for his distribution range and accuracy, as well as his technique, vision, creativity, game reading, and ability to command play in midfield or set up goals.

AM:Kai Havertz

He is an exceptional player but lacks experience. We hope that he would be given the chance to prove himself in the Germany squad for Euro 2021.

Kai Lukas Havertz born 11 June 1999 is a German attacking midfielder who currently plays for Premier League club Chelsea.

When Havertz made his Bundesliga debut for Bayer Leverkusen in 2016, he was the club's youngest-ever debutant, and when he scored his first goal the following year, he became the club's youngest-ever goalscorer. He is also the youngest player in Germany's top division to attain the milestones of 50 and 100 league appearances. He helped Chelsea win the UEFA Champions League in 2020–21, scoring the game's only goal in the final against Manchester City.

Havertz was called up to Germany's senior team for the first time by head coach Joachim Löw on August 29, 2018. He was named to Germany's squad for their UEFA Nations League encounter against France as well as a friendly against Peru. Havertz made his international debut against Peru on September 9, 2018, replacing Timo Werner in the 88th minute in a 2–1 win for Germany at home,He became the first player born in 1999 to play for the national team when he made his debut.

Havertz is a technically gifted two-footed midfielder who is at ease with the ball on both feet and with his head.

Let's see who is the next nominee for the Germany Euro 2020 starting eleven and why.

LW:Timo Werner

Timo Werner who plays as a forward for Premier League club Chelsea, was born on March 6, 1996.

Werner made his professional club debut and scored his first goal for VfB Stuttgart in 2013, making him the club's youngest debutant and goalscorer. He joined RB Leipzig at the age of 20 in a then-club-record €10 million trade, where he set the record for the youngest player to attain 150 and 200 Bundesliga appearances. Werner also concluded the 2019–20 season as the league's second-leading goalscorer.

Head coach Joachim Löw summoned Werner up to the German senior squad in 2017 for a friendly against

England

on March 22 and a 2018 World Cup qualification match against Azerbaijan on March 26.

Werner was named to Germany's final 23-man roster for the 2018 FIFA World Cup on June 4, 2018. On June 17, he made his World Cup debut, starting in Germany's 1–0 loss to Mexico in the tournament's opening match. He played in both of Germany's final group stage matches, but he did not score, as the country was eliminated in the first round for the first time since 1938.

Werner, dubbed "Turbo Timo," is noted for his speed and acceleration. He began his career as a winger before moving to a striker or center-forward position.

RW:Leroy Sane

In 2014, Leroy Aziz Sane made his professional debut with Schalke 04, and in 2016, he moved to Manchester City for a cost of £37 million. After helping City win the Premier League and the EFL Cup in 2017–18, he was named PFA Young Player of the Year, a feat the team repeated the following season by achieving a domestic triple.

Sané was called up to the German senior team for the first time on November 6, 2015, in a friendly against France. At a friendly encounter against France in Saint-Denis on November 13, 2015, he was substituted in the 61st minute for Julian Draxler, in what would be a 2–0 defeat for the Germans, overshadowed by shots and explosions around the stadium.

Sane represented Germany at the UEFA Euro 2016. In Germany's 2–0 semi-final defeat to France, he appeared in one match, replacing Bastian Schweinsteiger. The interesting fact is that Sane was able to represent France because he is a French citizen.

He scored his first goal for Germany against

Russia

on November 16, 2018, with an assist from Serge Gnabry. Germany triumphed 3–0 thanks to the goal, which occurred in the eighth minute of the game and now we believe he is one of the first-team players for Die Mannschaft.

Let’s move on to another obvious choice for Germany Euro 2020.

ST:Thomas Muller

Thomas Müller who plays for Bundesliga club Bayern Munich, was born on September 13, 1989.

In 2010, Müller was called up to the German national team. He scored five goals in six appearances for Germany at the 2010 World Cup, helping them to third place. With five goals and three assists, he was voted the tournament's Best Young Player and won the Golden Boot as the tournament's top scorer.

Müller scored the first hat-trick of the tournament and was awarded man of the match in Germany's 4–0 victory over Portugal in the 2014 World Cup opener on June 16, 2014.

Müller scored the first goal in Germany's 7–1 semi-final win over Brazil on July 8. In Germany's history, this was the 2,000th goal.

Müller appeared in nine of Germany's 10 Euro 2016 qualifying matches, scoring nine goals as the team finished first in their group and qualified for the tournament.

On March 5, 2019, national team coach Joachim Löw revealed that Müller, along with his club colleagues Jérôme Boateng and Mats Hummels, will be absent for the foreseeable future. Müller was "mad and startled" by Löw's decision to dismiss him and his Bayern teammates following the decision. Müller stated he was "absolutely ready" to return to international duty, stressing his ambition to win another championship with Germany, after Löw subsequently acknowledged in March 2021 that he was contemplating changing his decision and allowing the previously excluded players to compete in the next UEFA Euro 2020.

Müller's position is that of an attacking all-rounder, a flexible player capable of playing in a variety of offensive positions.

He has been praised for his calmness; Germany manager Joachim Löw has described him as "impervious to pressure," while former Bayern manager Louis van Gaal has praised him for his mental toughness, these factors make him a perfect fit for offensive positions in our Germany Euro 2020 lineup.
