It was first used by the British tabloid press to refer to the wives and girlfriends of high-profile footballers, originally the England national football team.

The term came into common use during the 2006 FIFA World Cup, although it had been used occasionally before that.

The acronym has since been used by the media in other countries to describe the female partners of sportspeople in general.

Some people criticized the term as sexist and stated that it could be offensive, as it was often used to demean women; however, others have reflected this view.

is Magi Sadeq (or Sadiq) who was born in Nagrig, a village in Gharbia, Egypt, in 1994, the same town Mohamed Salah was born in.

Her parents taught at the ‘Mohamed Eyad Al-Tantawi School’ in Egypt. Both Magi and

were students there.

She had four sisters: her twin sister, Mohab, and two other younger sisters, Miram and Mahy.

Magi attended a high school in Basyoun, Egypt. Although, some claim that Magi has a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, the twin sisters earned a bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Commerce in Alexandria.

Mohamed Salah and Magi have been married since 2013. Thousands of guests were reported to have attended the Muslim ceremony in Nagrig, Egypt.

They have a daughter named Makka, named in honor of the holy city Mecca.

The couple met as teenagers at school in Basion Gharbia. Not much is known about Magi as she does not sit for any interviews.

In spite of the fact that she rarely makes public appearances, Magi has been seen with Salah and her daughter on the pitch at Anfield a few times.
