Brighton have signed Carlos Baleba from Lille

Brighton have signed Carlos Baleba on a five-year deal.

confirm 19-year-old midfielder Carlos Baleba has joined from Lille on a five-year deal.

Robert De Zerbi, the head coach of Brighton, said on the club's official website after signing a contract with Baleba that he is a very good player.

“Carlos is a very good player. He’s very young but a specific player for our style. He will be the future of the club,”

he said.

Baleba is replacing Moises Caicedo, who signed a contract with Chelsea.

Baleba played 21 games for Lille.

Brighton lost 3-1 to West Ham this week. They will play against Newcastle next week.
