De Zerbi :"Joao Pedro is a great player"
Brighton's coach has praised their new striker.
completed the signing of Pedro from Watford in May 2023, with the transfer cost remaining unknown but rumored to be in the region of a club-record £30 million.
Pedro scored a goal and provided an assist in his debut match for Brighton against Chelsea.
Roberto De Zerbi, the Brighton coach, praised the Brazilian striker in an interview with the club's official website.
"Joao Pedro is a great player, but with the attackers, we have a lot of great players.
"The difficulty is to decide the first XI. When you have so many good players, it's difficult to decide.
"It's a good problem, but it's my responsibility."
Pedro scored 11 goals in 35 matches for Watford last season.
Brighton will play against Luton Town in their first match of the Premier League.
