Carlo Ancelotti will become the new Brazil national team head coach

CBF president Ednaldo Rodrigues has confirmed that Carlo Ancelotti will be the new manager of

in 2024.

For a year, Fernando Diniz will serve as Brazil's interim manager.

"His game plan is almost similar to that of the coach that will take over at Copa America, Ancelotti,"

Ednaldo said.

"We don't call him an interim coach of the national team. He will come and make the transition in Brazil for Ancelotti."

Ancelotti's contract with Real Madrid will expire next year.

Brazil was eliminated from the 2022 World Cup after losing to Croatia.
