Mourinho: "We had a very good performance"

In what could be a pivotal match, Roma and Milan, who are currently tied for fourth, face off on Saturday evening.

's 'biggest concern' coming into the match against Milan, according to Jose Mourinho, who jokes that he is ready to play or return Francesco Totti and Aldair but still maintains that they 'controlled' the 3-1 loss to Atalanta.

In the closing minutes, Paulo Dybala was left hardly able to put his left foot down after a hard Jose Luis Palomino tackle rotated his ankle, while Diego Llorente hobbled off in tears after what appeared to be a hamstring strain.

“I do not agree that we moved the ball too slowly. I think with our limitations, we had a very good performance. It is not possible to remove incidents from the game, as they can decide the result, but they really were individual incidents,”

He told DAZN.

“We were in control in the first half, without creating much, but being in complete control. The opening goal was an incident, as a player lost the ball on the left, then Tammy should’ve just drawn a foul and finished the move there, but instead we stood there watching the ball and Pasalic scored.

“I saw no difference between the teams in the first half. I believe we did better in the second half and after the 2-1, I got the feeling we could turn it around. Another incident decided the match, but I am happy with my players.”
