Allegri unable to predict Pogba's next return from injury

Paul Pogba has recently returned to Juventus, but he has only played for 34 minutes since then and is now injured once again and unable to play

Massimiliano Allegri doesn't have a clear idea about Paul Pogba's return to the field after the midfielder suffered another injury setback. Pogba's time at Juventus has been difficult since he came back to the club from Manchester United in July last year. He has only played for 34 minutes, having made two substitute appearances.

Despite making two substitute appearances against Torino and Roma on February 28 and March 5, it seemed that Pogba had overcome his injury problems. However, he missed Juve's next game against Freiburg in the Europa League due to being late for a team meeting.

Paul Pogba

, 29, has been out of action since he picked up a new muscle injury while practicing free-kicks. Massimiliano Allegri, Juventus coach, gave an update on Pogba's fitness before their Serie A game against Hellas Verona, suggesting that the midfielder is still unlikely to be included.

"At the moment, I don't know when he will be available again,"

Allegri said at Friday's pre-match press conference.

"He's working, but at the moment it's difficult to say.

"The adductor is fine, but we're waiting to see how his knee will react after taking part in training."

Juve

suffered a 15-point penalty in January, but they have managed to win six of their last seven Serie A matches, reducing the gap to the top four to seven points. In addition to their league matches, they have a Europa League quarter-final clash with Sporting CP and the first leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final with Inter scheduled for April.

"Our aim is to win as many games as possible in order to have a wonderful May,"

Allegri said of his side's congested April programme.

"This is the schedule and we have to manage it the best way possible. We're heading towards a beautiful but tiring end to the season and must continue playing with enthusiasm."
