Roma reject Tottenham's first offer for Nicolo Zaniolo

AS Roma has rejected Tottenham's offer for forward Nicolo Zaniolo but is willing to sell him in the January transfer window.

According to Sky Sports Italy,

Tottenham’s

offer for

Nicolo Zaniolo

has been rejected by

Roma

 but they are open to selling him if receive an offer of around £35m.

Lilywhiye Spurs were interested in Brighton forward Leandro Trossard but they decided not to make a move for him and he is close to joining Arsenal in January.

Tottenham was linked with Zaniolo last summer and they have opened talks to sign him in the January transfer window.

Sky Sports claims that Roma is happy to sell the 23-year-old Zaniolo and they also are open to a loan deal with an obligation to buy.

According to Calciomercato.com, Nicolo Zaniolo wants to leave in January and has asked his agent to talk with Roma. Zaniolo was booed by Roma fans following the 1-0 win over Genoa and has decided it’s time for him to leave Roma.

West Ham, Leeds United, and Newcastle United are also reportedly interested in Zaniolo but no concrete offers have arrived yet.

The Italy international has scored just two goals in 19 games in all competitions this season.

Tottenham also is in negotiations with Sporting Lisbon over right wing-back Pedro Porro. The January transfer window closes at 11pm on Tuesday January 31, 2023
