Alejandro Garnacho rejects Manchester United offer amid Real Madrid interest

Juventus and Real Madrid are monitoring Alejandro Garnacho's contract situation at Manchester United.

The 18-year-old

Garnacho

has broken into Manchester United's first team this season under Erik ten Hag. The Argentine teenager scored a last-minute winner against Fulham just before the World Cup and also has provided two assists in his last two games.

Garnacho has played 17 times for

Manchester United

's first-team and provided an assist in the Manchester Derby on Saturday when replaced Christian Eriksen in the 72nd minute.

According to the Independent, Manchester United has offered Garnacho a new contract worth of £21,000 per week, but he has refused to accept that offer and is demanding more salary. Garnacho’s current deal expires in 2024. He is currently earning £7,000 per week.

The Independent reports that top European clubs such as

Real Madrid

and Juventus are monitoring his situation. Garnacho joined Manchester United’s academy from Atletico Madrid in 2015 and Real Madrid has been keeping an eye on him since.

Fabrizio Romano recently told Caught Offside that Manchester United is confident Garnacho will sign a new deal in the next weeks.

He said:

“I’m told Manchester united are very confident on new deal for Alejandro Garnacho to be agreed in the next weeks or months. Talks are ongoing and Man Utd feel it’s close. Real Madrid and Juventus have not started contacts to sign the Argentinian talent, as of now.”
