Simeone doesn't have an issue with a change up in Atletico’s squad as January transfer window rolls on
The Argentine tactician is ready for any change in Atletico’s squad after January transfer window.
Sitting at fourth after almost half the season,
Atletico Madrid’s squad may even be slimmer when the January transfer window is done but Atleti boss Diego Simeone doesn’t want to dwell on any changes.
The Rojiblancos have already lost their Brazilian striker,
Mateus Cunha, as he joined Wolves on a season-long loan with an obligation to buy. They may also lose their Portuguese youngster, Joao Felix, as Premier League clubs are looking to sign him, but Simeone was unfazed by the prospect of losing players as he talked to the press ahead of their Copa del Rey clash with Oviedo, as he said:
"You know how I think, I am prepared for what may happen. We are employees of the club and everything that happens [is] for the benefit of the club.
"The team must be prepared to find solutions. Imagining what could happen and trying to find solutions until it happens, it is clear that it does not make any sense."
When he was asked about the
Joao Felixsituation, Simeone refused to give a direct answer but hinted at a swift resolution as the best course in the situation.
"For the footballers, representatives and coaches, the peace of mind of knowing where you are going to be is important,"
he added.
