Breaking: Lionel Messi wins Qatar 2022’s Golden Ball

During the 120 minutes of the astonishing final that saw Argentina win the Qatar 2022 trophy, Lionel Messi scored twice to help Argentina win the World Cup as he was awarded the tournament’s Golden Ball, scoring seven goals.

Argentina dominated the game from the very first minute as they led 2-0 until the 80th minute when Kylian Mbappe scored twice to send the game to the extra times.

was awarded the 2022 World Cup Golden Ball for a second time after his stunning performances at the tournament. Messi’s Paris Saint-Germain teammate, Kylian Mbappe, won the tournament’s Golden Boot after scoring 8 goals in the tournament, one more than Messi.

The Argentine previously won the 2014 World Cup Golden Ball as he led Argentina to the finals where they lost to Germany. However, Messi completed the job this time as he not only scored a brace but also scored his penalty in the shoot-out.
