Kane praises ‘outstanding’ Henderson for being demanding of others

Tottenham striker Harry Kane hailed Jordan Henderson’s “amazing performance” against Sengeal and picked out Liverpool maestro’s finest attributes.

England captain

Harry Kane

was singing Jordan Henderson’s praises when he faced the press on Monday following their last-16 triumph over Senegal.

Henderson

(32-years-old) opened England’s account on a Jude Bellingham assist and became the second-oldest England goalscorer at the World Cup after Tom Finney (36-years-old). Which led to England skipper saying this about him: "

He's one of the best leaders that I've played with. He’s really vocal, he pushes players to the absolute max.

"That's why he's been great in the games he's played. [He's} outstanding with the ball, outstanding without the ball, pushing everyone. The way we've been pressing – it's good to hear him behind me pushing.

"You need different types of leaders amongst your team. I think we have four or five different types of personalities.

"Hendo's someone who – it doesn't matter who you are, what you've done – he'll keep pushing you.

"It was an amazing performance [against Senegal] by him, [it was] great to see him score. A lot of the other good stuff was down to his role in the team."

England faces a tough test on December 10 as they prepare to face defending champions France.
