Agnelli & Nedved offer shock resignation alongside entire Juve board
President Andrea Agnelli and vice-president Pavel Nedved, alongside the entire Juventus board members, offer their shocking resignation.
Reports from Italy claim that the entire board of directors at
Juventus, which includes Agnelli and Nedved, have resigned from their post after a directors meeting on Monday.
The club is to go under a lot of changes in the coming months, with CEO Maurizio Arrivabene taking control, as Juve’s new boardroom members are announced.
Agnelli has been the subjects of many discussions in the past couple of years due to his involvement in the Super League project as the vice-president of Super League and a vocal supporter of it even after its failure to launch.
Agnelli took over as Juventus president back in 2010 and oversaw a renaissance in the club with Juventus winning 9 consecutive scudetto titles but he has since been criticized for his transfer decisions as well as Juventus’ heavy involvement in the Super League project.
Agnelli and Nedved leave Juventus at a time that the club sits 3rd in the league, 10 points behind the leaders
Napoli, as well as being out from the Champions League already.
