Pogba set to miss the World Cup due to a fresh injury

While the French midfield maestro harbored a sliver of hope to represent his country in the World Cup, reports from Italy claim that Pogba might miss the tournament entirely

Following his free transfer to

Juventus

and on the back of his controversial time at

Manchester United

, Paul Pogba suffered yet another injury. Many considered Pogba’s chance of appearing in the 2022 World Cup to be entirely gone but the Juventus star underwent a meniscus surgery and following his surgery had seen his recovery going well.

Now both La Gazzetta Dello Sport and Sky Sport Italia report that

Pogba

has suffered yet another setback, a muscle injury, which will keep him on the sidelines for at least 2 weeks, ruling him out of making it to France’s squad entirely. Even if he were to be fit by the time the tournament came around, there were doubts, cast by Deschemps, that he even could make it onto his list.

“First of all, he must recover, and after that, there is an athletic part to consider. It’s been a long time since he played his last game, but the most important thing is that he is healed and I think he will be.”

Told Deschempes to Sportmediaset earlier this month.

All will be made clear when Deschempes will reveal their squad for the upcoming Qatar 2022 World Cup on November 9.
