Milan and France dealt a blow after Maignan’s injury relapse

The Rossoneri and France national team have been dealt a blow as reports of Mike Maignan having suffered a new injury to his calf emerged while the player was getting ready for his return this weekend.

Mike Maignan

suffered a calf strain when playing for France national team on international duty last month and missed some very important matches, such as the game against Chelsea in the Champions League.

On Monday, when he was receiving his award at the Gran Gala Del Calcio, the Italian version of the PFA Awards, as the shot-stopper of the year, he announced that he was ready to return for the clash against Monza this weekend as he was fully recovered. However, according to reports from Sky Sport Italia, the goalkeeper has sustained a new calf injury while training and will undergo more tests to determine the extent of his damage.

Not only will Milan suffer from his absence, but France will also be dealt a blow as he was going to be part of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
