Ukraine in joint bid to host 2030 World Cup with Spain and Portugal

Spain and Portugal plan to host the 2030 World Cup together with Ukraine.

Ukraine will join the bid of Spain and Portugal to jointly host the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

According to this report, this decision has been approved by Western governments and the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The official announcement of Ukraine joining the 2030 World Cup hosting program is scheduled to be made today. According to the plan, Ukraine should host one of the group matches. Of course, Ukraine will host the 2030 World Cup if it can provide the necessary infrastructure after the end of the war with Russia.

In order for Ukraine to be approved as a host, the war with Russia must first end and ensure security during the competition. A joint hosting bid would have a higher chance of success, and Portugal and Spain would certainly benefit from Ukraine's companionship.

In 2012, Ukraine hosted the European Nations Cup together with Poland. Ukraine and Portugal have never hosted the World Cup but Spain hosted the tournament in 1982.

Rumors are heard about the joint hosting of Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Greece, while the South American countries are planning to hold the 2030 World Cup in Uruguay, the country that hosted the first competition, on the occasion of the 100th year of the competition. Also, Argentina, Chile and Paraguay want to take the lead in holding competitions.
