West Ham reached an agreement with Lyon over Paqueta

The Brazilian star will soon move to the Premier League and play for his new team.

West Ham

and

Lyon

have reached an agreement for the transfer of

Lucas Paqueta

for a fee of 50 million pounds.

West Ham did not score points in their first three games in the Premier League and did not even score a goal. However, they managed to reach the Europa League group stage with a 6-1 aggregate win over Danish side Viborg and will now hope to add Paqueta to their squad.

They started negotiations with Lyon and finally managed to get the consent of the French side for 50 million pounds. Paqueta, who had 11 goals and 7 assists last season, is under contract with the Hammers until 2027.

West Ham hopes to end their poor run in the league and finally get the first point by signing the Brazilian star. The Hammers next face Aston Villa on August 28 before taking on Tottenham at the London Stadium.
