Everton set to sign Dwight McNeil from Burnley

Burnley winger Dwight McNeil is on the verge of joining Everton.

Everton

has made progress in negotiations for the

Burnley

winger over the past few days and according to the English press and Fabrizio Romano they have reached an agreement with Burnley over the transfer of

McNeil

.

The England U21 international has two years remaining on his current deal and was linked with West Ham and Crystal Palace earlier in the summer. It is expected he will officially join Everton in the next 24 hours.

Everton will reportedly pay around £20m including add-ons to Burnley. He will become Frank Lampard's third signing of the summer after James Tarkowski and Ruben Vinagre.

The 22-year-old McNeil who is a Burnley academy graduate played in 147 matches and scored 7 goals for them. Burnley was relegated from the Premier League last season and so far Nathan Collins, Nick Pope, Wout Weghorst, and Aaron Lennon have left Turf Moor this summer. Burnley at the end of last season announced the appointment of Vincent Kompany as their new first-team manager.
