Brahim Diaz is happy to stay in Milan after the loan deal extension

Although not always a starter under Stefano Pioli, Diaz contributed greatly to Milan's Scudetto win as he became the third player ever to win the Premier League (with Manchester City), La Liga (with Real Madrid), and now Serie A.

The forward started the previous season on the right track, meeting the target four times and contributing two assists in the first nine matches. However, the 22-year-old had a hard time returning to form after testing positive for Covid-19.

After winning the Serie A title with Milan,

Real Madrid

opted to allow the youngster spend another season on loan with the Rossoneri. He told

Diario AS

on his decorated career:

“Honestly I couldn’t even imagine being able to say that about my career. I should give thanks to the colleagues and managers I have had. I always try to bring my grain of sand and I will continue doing so. Let’s hope more records come.”

"I have loved having responsibilities and pressure, I feel like I have grown. I am a perfectionist and I know I can still improve a lot. This season that is starting I want to give more assists and score more goals to help the team.”

Brahim extended his

Milan

loan deal for a further year until 2023, and he was asked how he feels about the deal:

“I am doing very well here, both in my personal life and professional. I want to give everything for this club and keep growing.”

Brahim started his career with Malaga before he made a move to Manchester City when he was 16. After four years, he went back to Spain and moved to Madrid. He has now been playing for Milan on loan in the last two campaigns.
