Marotta: Dybala to Inter? we are ok in attack

Inter director Beppe Marotta says they are not in hurry to sign Paulo Dybala.

Dybala

is a free agent after leaving

Juventus

and he has been in negotiation with

Inter

in recent months but his transfer to the Nerazzurri remains in doubt after Romelu Lukaku returned to Inter.

“Dybala is part of the many players available for free. I had never seen so many and it proves that football is changing and that more courage is needed at a youth level,”

said Marotta to reporters.

“Dybala represented and still represents an opportunity, but we are ok in attack with valuable players who the coach will need to manage in the best way even if I have a solid bond with Dybala.”

Marotta also talked about Inter’s target for next season.

“I thank my collaborators Ausilio and Baccin, who are working really well to build a competitive team for our targets,”

Marotta continued.

“In football, the bar must be very high. You must have the courage to win and not be afraid to lose. We come back intending to win and be highly competitive.

“Sustainability is crucial for continuity, we have this target, which doesn’t mean not being competitive. The market can be creative and intuitive. We have two more months ahead; even if the season will start in between, it’s an anomalous campaign.

“The target is to add more trophies to our cabinet. Work and a sense of belonging are the principles that must guide us to the maximum.”

Simone Inzaghi extended his contract with Inter until 2024 after they won Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana last season. Marotta hopes Inzaghi remains at the club for many years.

“I’ll just quickly mention the last season, which had a bittersweet taste. We added two more trophies to our cabinet, but the second place in Serie A left a bitter taste in our mouths showing that the difference between winners and runners-up is minimal.

“An important update is the contract extension of our coach, which is the result of a great rapport that we’ve built from last year after some turbulences in the summer. The renewal was natural because Inzaghi proved to be up to the task. He has the skills to remain with us for a long time and be one of the best coaches.”
