Xavi Hernandez doesn't need Mingueza on his team for the 2022/23 season, so he has told the Catalan youngster he can skip their pre-season training camp and work on his future instead. Last year, Mingueza didn't play much for Xavi because Ronald Araujo,

, Eric Garcia, and Clement Lenglet were better than him.
Mingueza is wanted by more than just Girona.
