Manchester United told Antony and Martinez will cost £130m by Ajax

Ajax is attempting to fend off Manchester United by setting high asking prices for Antony and Lisandro Martinez.

Manchester United

is close to reaching an agreement with Barcelona over signing Frenkie de Jong but Red Devils are yet to get their other targets over the line despite being keen to give the new boss Erik ten Hag what he wants ahead of his first season.

Forward

Antony

and center-back

Lisandro Martinez

are on the Ten Hag’s radar but Ajax has put a huge price tag on them. According to the Times newspaper, Ajax wants to get as much as £50m for Martinez and £80m for Antony this summer.

Manchester United hoped to get Brazilian forward Antony for around £40 million however Ajax has put the 22-year-old’s price tag at €80million. They also have rejected Arsenal’s £30 million offer for Martinez and are demanding £45m- £50m for this player.

Times newspaper claims that teams are asking for a premium as they know United need the players this summer after they missed out on Champions League football. It remains to be seen whether Manchester United and Eric Ten Hag decide to either look elsewhere or they will pay what Ajax demands.
