Nottinham Forrest signed club's record Nigerian striker

Nottingham Forest intends to have a strong start in return.

Nottingham Forest

, who have been promoted to the Premier League this season, broke the transfer record by signing

Taiwo Awoniyi.

Forrest returned to the English Premier League after 23 years and made their first summer purchase by activating Awoniyi's termination clause from the Berlin Union. The Nigerian striker has been with Liverpool for six years but only last year was allowed to work in the UK and then moved permanently to the Union. Liverpool will receive 10% of the amount that Forrest will pay, and the Nigerian striker, who scored 31 goals in 31 Bundesliga games last season, will return to the Premier League.

His contract with the club will be for 5 years and he will play in the attacking line  besides Brennan , who is the source of playmaking.

He said:

"I'm very excited to be here at Nottingham Forest.

It's always been my dream to play in the Premier League, and having spoken to Steve Cooper about our ambitions and looking at Forest, with its great history, it's a club that I want to be part of."
