Ajax box confident of keeping two stars amid Man Utd link

Manchester United are considering a move for the two Ajax stars.

Ajax

boss Alfred Schreuder is confident that star star

Jurrien Timber

will stay in Amsterdam and expressed hope that they can keep Antony.

Ajax boss Erik Ten Hag has been in charge of

Manchester United

this season, and rumors suggest he intends to sign both of his former players. Dutch coach Louis van Gaal has advised Timber that he should be transferred in order to be included in the Dutch squad, but Schreuder has expressed hope that the 21-year-old defender will stay at Ajax.

"I think this guy is very smart. He knows very well what is good for himself to develop. And I don't think he's finished at Ajax,"

He said.

Asked about Timber staying at Ajax, he added:

"I hope so and I assume that."

There are rumors about Antony leaving for Man Utd and Schreuder said:

"It is clear that we want to keep that boy. I think he still has a contract until 2025.

"I really want to work with him; he knows that, and the club knows that too."
