Leeds' last-gasp goal keeps Marsch's Premier League chances alive

After good results on Sunday, the Whites may still have a chance to make the great escape.

The manager of

Leeds United

,

Jesse Marsch

, said that "nothing comes easy" for his team after

Pascal Struijk

scored in injury time to give them a point against

Brighton

and get them out of the relegation zone.

The Whites had to fight back against

Graham Potter

's Seagulls at Elland Road to get a share of the points. This was a very important result that, along with

Burnley

's loss to Tottenham earlier in the day, moves them out of the bottom three.

Even though the Clarets still have a game to play, this result gives them hope for an unlikely great escape in West Yorkshire. However, Marsch says that his team tends to give themselves harder tests than they should. "Our goal for today was to get three points, but we knew that if we got one point and Burnley didn't, the pressure would shift a little," Marsch told

Sky Sports News

. "It was bad luck that we didn't get more.

"We are in a psychological battle. We need to show up and do our best next week. You can see that we are put in hard situations and how strong our team is. We also need to be able to show this at the start of games. It's a battle. With only one game left, the Whites' fate is still out of their hands. However, a point moved them out of the bottom three, so all the pressure is now on Burnley.

The Clarets have two games left, against Aston Villa and Newcastle. Leeds, on the other hand, will play Brentford. In simple terms, Mike Jackson's team will go down if they don't get at least one point from either game. Two wins will do the same for the Elland Road team, but given their huge goal difference, a draw might be enough for the Turf Moor team as well.
