William Saliba insists his future will be decided by Arsenal.
The 20-year-old
William Saliba
says he is open to the idea of staying at
Marseille
for another season but insists his future will be decided by
Arsenal.
"
I don’t hide the fact that I feel good here but I don’t know my future.
" Saliba who has been rewarded with his first senior
France
call-up told RMC Sport.
"
The most important thing is to qualify for the
Champions Leagueand to go as far as possible in the Conference League. i think that there will be discussions afterwards, at the end of May and the beginning of June, with Arsenal and Marseille, we will decide at that time.
But it is certain that to continue here wouldn’t be a bad idea, on the contrary, I know the city, my teammates, my coach.
But it doesn’t just depend on me. We’ll see how it goes, but it also depends on Arsenal who must give their approval, we’ll see.
"
Saliba joined Arsenal from Saint-Etienne in July 2019 but failed to impress Mikel Arteta in pre-season training last summer and in July 2021 joined Marseille on loan.
