Arteta criticized Premier League schedule after Liverpool defeat

Arsenal have had good results in recent weeks but lost to Klopp's side last night.

Arsenal

boss Mikel Arteta has criticized the Premier League schedule after the defeat to

Liverpool

.

Last night, the Gunners faced Reds at home and lost 2-0 which is another slip in their path to be placed among the top-four. Arsenal face

Aston Villa

on Saturday afternoon and then face Chelsea and Manchester United three days apart next month and now Arteta criticized the game planning in a sarcastic way.

“Thank you so much to the Premier League for doing that.

"And they’ve done it again when we have to play Chelsea and Manchester United. So if they want to give them any advantage, I say to them today: ‘Thank you so much for doing that’.”

"No [the Premier League wouldn't change the schedule]. It is always it’s BT, it’s Sky, it is this, it’s that. But the one that is affected is Arsenal and the only thing that I care [about] and we care [about] is Arsenal. And for Arsenal it is not fair.”

Arsenal have 51 points in 27 games and placed fourth, while Manchester United are fifth with 50 points having played two more games.
