Hudson-Odoi on England or Ghana dilemma
Although the winger featured for England national team at senior level, he has the option to change his allegiance.

talked about the dilemma he is dealing with regarding which national team to pick between
Englandand
Ghanaafter Chelsea had their Club World Cup victory on Saturday.
The winger played for England at every youth level from U16 to U21 before he had his senior international appearance in 2019. The 21-year-old, however, has only three caps and in November, he was left out of
Gareth Southgate
’s last squad, leading to speculations regarding his future.
The player can also feature for Ghana because of his heritage and with the current FIFA rules, players that player three or fewer games before turning 21 can change allegiances if they want.
The Blues winger has not played for England for almost three years now but he has showed an indication that he is determined to break into the England squad.
After Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Palmeiras in Abu Dhabi, the player answered the question of whether he would commit to England and reject Ghana:
“Hopefully. I don’t know.
"At the end of the day, we will wait until that time comes.”
The player also talked about the reason behind his decision to move away from Chelsea on a loan move last summer when Borussia Dortmund were interested in his services.
He said that under the reign of Thomas Tuchel, he had an opportunity to revel in more success.
“
You want to win as much as possible with a club like this,”
said Hudson-Odoi.
“Our aim is always to win games and win as many as possible.
"If I went out in the summer, I wouldn’t get opportunities to play like this and win trophies. I’m really delighted that I stayed and obviously I got the opportunity to play.
"For me I’ve just got to give it 120 per cent from minute one every single game.”
Quizzed on whether he is known as a
Chelsealegend as he contributed to the Club World Cup and Champions League victory, he added:
“I don’t feel like a legend at all. I’m young, I’ve got a long way to go. I’m delighted to win trophies.
"You keep adding and adding to the cabinet and it’s nice. But you can’t say you’re a legend at 21.”
