West Ham

boss David Moyes has expressed hope that his side's good performances in recent weeks will not be affected by the recent events surrounding

Kurt Zouma

.

A video of the French defender being posted on the Internet shows him kicking his pet cat. This provoked a lot of protests and West Ham announced that Zouma will be fined with maximum amount possible. While the former Chelsea defender was expected to be left out of the West Ham squad, he has been on the squad for his last two games and also played for Watford, but was ruled out of the game against

Leicester

shortly before the game due to illness. West Ham beat Leicester City 1-0 and Moyes expressed hope that his team's good performance would not be affected by Zouma's actions.

"We should not allow this to blight anything which has gone on before,"

Moyes said.

"A player has made a mistake, and there are plenty of managers with players who have made mistakes.

"Somewhere along the line you always hope there is a little bit of forgiveness, people are willing to accept they made a mistake, [they have] given an apology and we hope that is the case.
