Didier Deschamps, France's manager, called Kurt Zouma's behavior "shocking" and "intolerable" when footage of the West Ham defender assaulting his cat surfaced on social media.

The RSPCA, who took Zouma's cats into the shelter, and many other animal protection organizations also criticized the 27-year-conduct, old's with his club fining him £250,000 and donating the money to charity.

Adidas

terminated their sponsorship with the center-back.

After saying he was "deeply sorry" for his conduct, Zouma was still picked by Hammers boss David Moyes for the 1-0

Premier League

"I'm not a prosecutor. I am here to make selections on different criteria.

"It's happened to me before that players who have made mistakes have not been selected for a while. I will not change my way of doing things for the next squad."
