West Ham fine Zouma £250k, the RSPCA takes away his cats
The RSPCA has taken away Kurt Zouma’s cats after the video emerged of the player abusing his pets and hitting them in his kitchen on Monday.
Kurt Zouma
has issued an apology after the incident but “urgent enquiries” were underway in conjunction with the RSPCA, according to Essex Police.
A statement was released by the RSPCA on Wednesday confirming that the cats “are safe and in our care”.
have also fined him of two weeks of his wages, which is said to be £250,000. It will be donated to the charities for animal welfare.

The West Ham manager revealed that he is available for the games while the investigation continues.

Our priority is and has always been the wellbeing of these cats,"
an RSPCA spokesperson said.
"They've been taken for a check-up at a vets and then will remain in our care while the investigation continues.
"We're grateful to everyone who expressed their concern for these cats. We were dealing with this issue before the video went viral online and are leading the investigation.
"We continue to investigate so we cannot comment further at this time."
The club even confirmed that they are supporting the RSPCA investigation.
Adidas revealed that Zouma is not associated with their company any more after "investigating the incident internally".
A statement read:
"We have concluded our investigation and can confirm Kurt Zouma is no longer an Adidas contracted athlete."
Adidas had earlier said: "No animal should be subject to cruel and unwarranted abuse."
