The €45m Brazilian prodigy- "Ronaldo is my idol but I'm like Mbappe"

The Brazilian striker is presently drilling his game with Palmeiras but aspires to "follow in the footsteps" of five-time Ballon d'Or victor Ronaldo.

Endrick, a €45 million (£38m/$51m) prodigy, has revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo is his role model, labeling the Manchester United frontman as a "

phenomenon

" while also discussing Real Madrid's rumored interest in him and how he is compared to Kylian Mbappe.

Endrick is rapidly gaining recognition in Brazil, having joined Palmeiras' junior divisions in 2016.

After guiding the Sao Paulo-based team to victory in the famous U20 Copinha tournament last month, the 15-year-old has risen to new heights of fame, with

Real Madrid

supposedly leading the hunt to lure him to Europe.

Endrick's market worth has already climbed to €45 million despite having yet to ink his first professional contract.

Barcelona

,

Manchester United

,

Liverpool

, and

Manchester City

have all been connected with him.

When he reaches 16 in July, the adolescent will be eligible to sign senior deals with any possible suitors, and while he has yet to determine where his future lays, he has made it obvious whose career path he would most want to follow.

Asked to name his primary role model in the game, Endrick told

Marca

:

"

Cristiano Ronaldo

, a spectacular man, a phenomenon. I have to follow in his footsteps

."

Endrick has expressed his desire to emulate Cristiano Ronaldo's effect at the Santiago Bernabeu, having been impressed by the Blancos' interest in his abilities.

"It is a club that I have great affection for and for Cristiano Ronaldo, whom I always followed, with the four

Champions Leagues

he won there," he added. "I have a great affection for Real due to Cristiano, although I have also looked for things in their history and they are a very good team.

"It is very gratifying for me to know that they are watching me and witnessing my games, I thank God very much. I have to do more, it's still not good, I have to give more. I still have a way to go."

Despite Endrick's fondness for the Portuguese icon, the Brazilian believes he shares more in common with the Frenchman

Mbappe

 in terms of playing style.

Endrick, who has 157 goals in 160 youth appearances for Palmeiras, has also spoken about his winning mindset and never-ending drive to grow.

"I like and I identify with Mbappe, for being young and because I have his characteristics," he said.

"I am a player with character, who always tries to do the most difficult thing. I try to decide games, play a lot as a team, which is the most important thing. I never stop, I always want more.

"If I make a goal, I want two; if I make two, I want three. I would tell people who don't know me that I am very persistent."
